Problem
Solving Techniques
This 4 hour class will focus on troubleshooting
problems in the industrial environment. There are some basic steps
that can be taken in order to resolve problems in a quick and
effective manner. The class will concentrate on troubleshooting
problems with PLC’s and Drives both AC and DC. Some of the techniques
discussed will be getting the answer to the four most common questions,
who, what, when and where. Also we will touch on how to trouble
shoot actual code and drive/motor operation.

PLC Programming
This 2 –3 day class will cover the basic components
of PLC’s and will cover how to program and modify PLC programs.
The class will deal with the Allen-Bradley PLC5 and SLC500 PLC’s.
We will cover the fundamentals of programming to include data table
layout, memory management, basic instruction set, file and data
moves. Also the class will cover setting up data communications
channels for Remote I/O, Data Highway plus and other communications
platforms. There will be hands on labs and demonstrations that are

work and how they control the operation of their respective motors.
The course will be 1 day and will provide baseline information to
the students, which consists of 1. How A/C and D/C motors work,

D/C motors. Once these topics have been covered we will discuss
drive control and operation in more detail. |
